Giving Back to Society: Smart Infrastructure Group (SIG) participated in the 28th Annual Golf Jamboree Event last Friday (May 17, 2019) organized by the FES Palm Beach Chapter. Panneer Shanmugam, President; Gregory Stelmack, CMT Business Unit Leader; and Andrew Nixon, Geotechnical Business Unit Leader represented RADISE International at the FES event. The event was held at the PGA National Resort & Spa, Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. The proceeds of the charity event go towards benefiting the Richard A. Rogers Scholarship Fund & Mathcounts.
Our Project ‘Tamiami Trail Bridge Life Cycle Monitoring’ got the National Recognition Award at the 2019 ACEC’s Engineering Excellence Awards (EEA) Annual Event at Washington Marriott Wardman Park yesterday (May 7). Kumar Allady, CEO, RADISE & Smart Structures received the recognition during the black-tie EEA Gala Dinner and Awards Program last night. Many Congratulations to the project team members and the whole Smart Infrastructure Group (SIG) family.
The Joint Professional Societies Annual Legislative breakfast is an event where people can meet up with their senators to share their opinion and learn more about the plan of the upcoming legislative session. This year RADISE and Smart Structures, along with others, sponsored the event at Palm Beach Gardens Marriott Hotel.
The session started with Susan Coughanour, FAICP, Vice-Chair of the Treasure Coast Section of APA-FL, as the moderator. The members could get a close perspective of the region’s Legislative representatives’ opinion about their roles in planning and growth management for the upcoming 2019 Legislative Session.
The program witnessed legislators like Bobby Powell, Lori Berman, and Toby Overdorf respond to questions raised by RADISE and the audience on 2019 Budget, Florida’s growth management, proposed home rule preemptions, new water planning funding, property rights and the state’s economy.
The Engineers’ Council recognizes our commitment to building resilient and sustainable infrastructure. RADISE and Smart Structures were awarded the prestigious “Distinguished Engineering Project Achievement Award”.
The council, this year, selected the ‘Tamiami Trail Bridge Life Cycle Monitoring Project’ for its IoT-based application of innovative sensor technology and structural health monitoring

The event was hosted at the Palm Beach Convention Center by Palm Beach County Business Development Board and was attended by over 800 people from coast to coast representing engineering, manufacturing, education, and technical society organization.

The talk was delivered at different locations again – at Tampa by Kumar Allady & Andrew Nixon on Feb 1; and at Orlando by Dr. Aneesh Goly & Paneer Shanmugam on Feb 8. Attendees collected 2 PDHs each for the event.
The FTBA two-day annual conference and exhibition was conducted at Hyatt Regency, Orlando from Jan 17-18, 2019. RADISE, along with its sister concern Smart Structures, showcased their patented products such as SmartPile® Suite, SmartPile® Acquisition, SmartPile® Review, SmartPile® Calibration, Asset LCM, and the newly developed like SmartPile® Inspector and other services. Dr. Aneesh Goly, Director – Engineering and Operations presented his talk on this occasion on how the Smart Structures EDC Technology was used for the Tamiami Trail Bridge Project, which recently won the ACEC-FL Engineering Excellence Grand Award.

The KYTC (Kentucky Transportation Cabinet), hosted the 49th STGEC Annual Conference at Crowne Plaza, Louisville, KY from Oct 8 – Oct 11, 2018. Dr. Goly and Dr. Putcha spoke on Advanced Dynamic Load Testing Method for driven concrete piles. The 2 hrs./captivating presentation by the duo was a transfixing journey on test methods for pile driving through the history and how the FDOT method has evolved over time bringing in the use of embedded sensors.
